John Esplin

President

John Esplin serves as President of Centeva, a global technology and management consulting firm servicing Federal Government and private sector clients. Centeva is deeply rooted in Project, Program, and Portfolio Management, as well as Federal Acquisition Lifecyle Management, providing innovation and modernization through custom Agile solutions.  

For over 20 years, John has led complex, mission-critical IT projects for the Federal Government, Fortune 500 Businesses, Financial Institutions, Not-for-Profits, and Healthcare Providers.  His experience includes all aspects of technology, from PMO Support, System Integration, Software Development and Assurance, Data Management, Migration & Cleansing, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V). Additionally, John has developed Federal Acquisition Transformation Programs, designed to shift the paradigm of operational acquisitions as a means to organizational success. Through his deep understanding and insight of the Federal Government Acquisition Lifecyle, John has successfully empowered industry partners to bridge gaps, improve communications and understanding, and to increase performance outcomes. 

A respected leader in the consulting industry, John is responsible for Centeva’s growth strategy and operational efficacy. He provides executive oversight to business development, product management, and project delivery.  Informally, John serves as a subject matter expert to clients, and as a mentor to team members. John believes in collective ingenuity, and fosters a spirit of inclusion and collaboration amongst team members at every level.  Above all, John is an analyst and communicator able to simplify concepts and tailor messages to targeted audiences, and to inspire teams to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and with the highest degree of customer satisfaction. 

John has a M.A. in International Relations from the University of San Diego and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Utah.
