Jan Quan-Esplin

CEO

Jan Quan-Esplin is the founder and CEO of Centeva. At Centeva, Jan has made service excellence her top priority. Toward this end, Jan has fostered a culture of service and customer-centric commitment throughout the company. Jan has also established a top-down service and support mindset where she and Centeva’s senior leadership team serves Centeva managers and leads, Centeva managers and leads serve Centeva team members, and Centeva team members serve Centeva clients. Jan has also established a culture of empowerment wherein Centeva team members, regardless of seniority or role, are empowered in the decision making and execution process and are able to support their client(s) as they see fit.

Under her leadership, Centeva has grown from an initial 2-person startup in 2007 to a dynamic and culturally rich organization. Today, Centeva operates in seven states supported by a team of more than 70 dedicated professionals. Centeva has offices in South Jordan, UT; Logan, UT; and Rockville, MD. In 2015, Centeva surpassed $8.3 million in annual revenue and continues to experience exceptional growth.

Jan was recognized as the “Minority Small Business Person of the Year for Utah” by the Small Business Administration in 2014. Jan is committed to community outreach and is especially passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). She served on the Canyon School District Foundation Board, lectures at numerous STEM and women-in-business events, and encourages community engagement throughout Centeva.

Jan is a graduate of the University of Utah with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. Prior to founding Centeva, Jan assisted in various biochemical and genetic research projects for a number of principals at the University of Utah and the University of California at San Diego, as well as working in the capacity as an army research contractor for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infection Diseases (USAMRIID).
