Executive Director of Solutions Engineering
Dan is a veteran in winning business and leading technology teams in the public and private sector. Dan spent the first 16 years of his career as a contractor for the U.S. Government, primarily to bring new tools, technology, and workflows to various analyst communities. His projects included overseas edge data centers, AI/ML, analytics, knowledge environments, information management, data exploitation, video processing and analytics, GIS, LiDAR, cloud, modeling and simulation, optimization, HFE, imagery libraries, and activity-based intelligence. In addition to capture and technology leadership activities, Dan was also a Systems Engineering and Architecture instructor. Dan spent 2 years as the Director of Solutions Engineering at a technology startup that unified compute on a wide variety of cloud, office, data center, and edge compute devices for the purposes of running large AI/ML workloads. The technology was deployed into numerous Fortune 500 and Global 500 corporations. Dan returned to the Federal space in 2022 with Centeva, as the Director of Solutions Engineering.
Dan is native of Northern Virginia, and attended the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology before receiving his undergraduate and masters degrees in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. Dan migrated to San Diego in 2006 in search of better weather and enjoys traveling, golfing, and going to the beach with his wife, dog, and young daughter.
